Common questions

We only have 2-3 developers. Is DevOps consulting worth it at our size?

Do you replace our existing cloud provider or tools?

No. We work with whatever cloud and tools you already use. If your team knows AWS, we build on AWS; if you're on GitHub, we use GitHub Actions. We recommend changes only when your current setup is actively holding you back, and you always make the final call.

What does a typical engagement look like?

Most engagements start with a 1-2 week infrastructure audit. From there, we either work on a fixed-scope project (build a CI/CD pipeline, set up Kubernetes, migrate to a new cloud provider) or an ongoing retainer for continued platform engineering support. We scope everything before starting so there are no surprises.

Will our team be able to maintain everything after you leave?

That's the whole point. We build alongside your engineers, not in a silo, and everything is documented, Terraform modules, pipeline configs, runbooks, and architecture decision records. Your team should be fully self-sufficient by the time we hand off.

How do you handle security?

Security is built into every layer, not bolted on at the end. We implement container image scanning with Trivy, dependency vulnerability checks with Snyk, secrets management with Vault or cloud-native KMS, and least-privilege IAM policies. For teams that need it, we also set up SAST/DAST scanning in the CI pipeline.
